Come Home

I’m coming home Ma’dear

in due time, I dreamt of your spirit

and your smile, I long to be held

against your bosom like before,

For it was my life, that your life last wore,

I’m coming home Ma’dear

in due time, our reunion will be sweet–

potato pie, You’ll know my face

when I catch your eye, For I’m of you

in your garden, I thrive,

I’m coming home Ma’dear

in due time, Stand beside all your children as I’ll do mine, You are our queen — your queendom I’ll cry,

Is where I want to be but in due time,

I’ll watch over your smallest one until her last breath shall fly, we’re coming home Ma’dear

but in due time.
